    J'ai crié ton nom dans la nuit ,
    Et j'ai écouté.
    Rien .
    Rien que la paix
    Dans l'immensité du ciel.
     
    J'ai crié ton nom dans la nuit
    Pour brsier ce silence
    Qui m'accable .
    Je veux entendre
    Le son de ta voix .
     
    Rien .
    Rien qu'une brise légère ,
    Le bruissement des feuilles
    Les oiseaux gémissants dans la nuit .
    Je n'entends pas ta voix .
     
    Ô douce nuit,
    Sous ta voûte immense
    Scintillent les étoiles d'or ,
    Et je cherche la tienne,
    Papa .
     
    Ô nuit
    Je n'aime plus ton calme
    Ni ta splendeur
    Ni tes étoiles étincelantes
    A l'infini .
     
    J'ai crié ton nom
    Dans la quiètude de la nuit ,
    Et j'ai attendu ...
    Alors , comme une caresse
    Une brise légère
    S'est déposée sur mon épaule...
